    Can you folks give me a location of the Tramsmission # on a 66 Hertz car(automatic)? My car has a #'s matching engine. I have never checked the transmission.

    My original automatic does not have the car VIN number stamped on the C4.

    Ford did not start stamping automatics until 68

    Just make sure its got the correct servo (externally) ;)

    Thanks fella's...............Is there any way to confirm that the transmission is the original that came with the car?
