Actually i read that strait off of the Russo and Steele website. It was in the description when the car was still going to Arizona. They are an extremely honest auction house.
Shelby made this statement tonight at the BJ 2007 auction "the second one we built was destroyed years ago" (3303) l . CSX3015 sold for a world record $5,500,000.00
Did Ned actually say this? And as for the ________ over at ClubCobra.com...they don't know anything about what they are talking about when it comes to "true" original cobra histories! The ClubCobra.com "little townspeople" need to stick with their 25 year old "cobra reproduction histories" and stay away from 1962-1967 original AC Shelby cobra histories! That is SAAC's job (Ned Scudder)! Best Regards, FIACOBRA Tout
One thing (really great) that I can honestly say about the ShelbyForums.com community is that...at least you guys (ShelbyForums.com) have a TON of original 1965-70 Shelby Cobra GT500-350 owners/traders/members (as well as many original 1962-67 AC Shelby Cobra owners/traders...like myself). After many years of being "up and running", the ClubCobra.com "Reproduction Cobra" community "managed" to accumulate a grand total of "9" original 1962-67 AC cobra owners that are "true" CC members (that do stop by to post some feedback and comments from time to time on the CC forums site). PS Have a great Super Bowl day guys! Cheers!
The pipework you see coming out of the back of the intake manifold was installed by me while restoring this Cobra. Two lines go to the vacumn gauges on the dash. One line goes to the vacumn secondaries via a t-fitting on the right carburator, the last line is the vacumn line to the C-6 transmission. Rick Wurth www.wurthitdesigns
