The intake should also have a S7MS engineering number and not a S2MS. Cevon, Important to remember that the intake was an update/recall item for 68. Many early cars came with cast iron intakes that were swapped out for the high performance aluminums. This meant that the dealer was responsible for the install IF...the customer even brought the car in. This also meant that an over the counter intake or two could have been installed at the time, especially at the smaller dealers. This may or may not relate to your particular car. all the best, Dan Belick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cevon Mclean" <cmclean@rbhnrc.usda.gov> To: <shelbymustang@carmemories.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 9:52 AM Subject: Re: 68 gt350 intake question,...quickie > Hey BG, > thanks for the info.. > Guess I will have to look for a "CORBA" intake.. > What should I pay for a super nice one? 400.00?.. > Cevon... > > Date sent: Tue, 1 Mar 2005 11:04:12 -0600 > Subject: Re: 68 gt350 intake question,...quickie > Copies to: shelbymustang@carmemories.com > To: cmclean@rbhnrc.usda.gov > From: Robert Gaines <bgaines@kc.rr.com> > > The aluminum intake used on a 68 GT 350 from the factory or on the iron > intake cars that were recalled, should have COBRA,not Ford or Shelby, > those were over the counter parts .
