    Hey guys,
My 68 gt350 has a shelby type intake, alumium..
But has "FORD" where it should say "SHELBY"...
Is this correct?..It looks old and orginal..

p.s I saw one on ebay, a while ago but no bids....

    Hey BG,

Guess I will have to look for a "CORBA" intake..
What should I pay for a super nice one? 400.00?..

The aluminum intake used on a 68 GT 350 from the factory or on the iron
intake cars that were recalled, should have COBRA,not Ford or Shelby,
those were over the counter parts . The intake should also have a S7MS
engineering number and not a S2MS. Hope this helps BG

    Cevon,

Important to remember that the intake was an update/recall item for 68.
Many early cars came with cast iron intakes that were swapped out for the
high performance aluminums. This meant that the dealer was responsible for
the install IF...the customer even brought the car in. This also meant that
an over the counter intake or two could have been installed at the time,
especially at the smaller dealers. This may or may not relate to your
    particular car.

    all the best,

    Dan Belick
