69 Shelby fuel filler pipe

    Is the filler pipe unique to 69-70 Shelbys? I have a repro gas tank and repro filler pipe, standard Mustang pieces, and they don't even come close to lining up. The pipe looks the same as other 69 Mustang pipes, so I don't think they sent me the wrong thing. I suspect the filler pipe is different for Shelbys, can anyone confirm? I don't have my original.

    Pretty sure they are the same. My 69 Shelby and 70 Mustang both look the same. If you are using a new rubber piece they are a pain to get on.

    I also belive they are the same, I think you need to get better parts and try again.

    I bought the shelby tail light panel for my coupe and no it's not the same.
    the hole in the shelby panel gose further in the trunk than the original panel.
    I trying to figure of how to put this together myself.
