I'm restoring a 68, but the shifter was missing. Are the auto shifters that fit in the shelby consoles the same as the mustang console ones or do they use the standard auto shifter?

    Thanks.

I'm not looking for the knob, I'm looking for the metal shifter - there are two styles for mustangs standard & console. I'm just not sure which was used in the shelby console.

The only problem is everyone puts shelby on every part. So what I'm asking is not where to find it, but which part is it, the mustang console model or the mustanf standard model.

It is the same as the standard Mustang shifter. The Shelby console has a specific one for the auto with a slightly larger opening than the stick version.

Ok, so it uses the standard shifter and cover. NOT the shifter for the consoles on the mustang. Thanks.
