    Read the Post on GT-500. Did they stamp the GT-350's as well? And if so where do I look? Getting ready to pull and would like to look.

    :) Bob;

    Depending on what year of GT350 you are referring to (I did not read the GT500 thread), all 1965 - 67 GT350's (Hi-Po 289) had their v.i.n.#'s stamped on the passenger side of the block, toward the front, just above where the oil pan bolts to the block. Look below the #1 cylinder exhaust port, down almost to the oil pan. The number can be hard to read at times, because there is no smooth pad, the numbers are merely stamped in to the "pebbly" part of the block casting. If you are looking for a v.i.n. on a 68 - 70 GT350 (302 or 351), you will look at the top surface of the block, behind the back edge of the intake manifold. There is a smooth, flat area about 1.5" x 3" facing upward. These numbers will not be a full v.i.n. like in 65-67, it will be the year, assembly plant, and the last 6 digits of the v.i.n.

    Hope this helps!
