Shelby Hood pins - 1965 GT350

    i am getting ready to install my new fiberglass hood and need to cut the holes for the hood pins. what size hole would be in the fiberglass side and what size on the metal frame side? i assume the metal side to be bigger for clearance. if you ahe a photo i would love that. jdyarbrou@yahoo.com

    Not sure what year car you're doing, off an original 66 GT350, the diameter on the fiberglass is 1/2", the steel frame is 1 1/4". If you need photos, let me know.

    thank you with these specs i can get it i believe. it is a 65 gt-350 clone and i get to pick it up from the paint shop on sunday. getting excited now...motor was picked up last saturday and i am detailing it this week so life is good.

    Sometimes on our clones, we have to weld two nuts on top of each other and then thread in the post as the posts don't stick up high enough thru the hood. Very easy to do, paint the nuts black and no one knows the difference.
