Shelby GT - Gas Guzzler Tax??

    Was at the dealership yesterday, wife's Expedition needed the rear end rebuilt (oh joy) and they have a black Shelby GT on the showroom floor. On the sticker it has a $1000 gas guzzler tax plus their ADM of $12,500. Now my question is why a gas guzzler tax? Or did the dealer doctor up a sticker to try to get an extra thousand out of some sucker.

    It is legit. The cold air kit and tune drops the EPA mileage 2mpg. Enough of a drop for a $1000 GGT.

    Whats the ADM charge? You should be able to buy these for MSRP, there are plenty around.
