Distributor and cam on 65 Shelbys

    Hi guys

    Were the distributors on 65 Shelbys mechanical or vacuum?
    What kind of cam did the have? Want to order one but would like to
    know some facts about the original.
    And where can i get solid lifters??? Didn´t see any in the Summit Catalog.

    Hi Jerry,
    65 Shelbys had the standard dual point HiPo distributor
    without vacuum and the 289 HiPo mechanical lifter cam.
    Both show up on ebay frequently and the cam is remanufactured
    by a guy at the HiPo EKschange site if you can't locate an original.

    Tondy D. Branda also sells the cam and lifters brand new. 477 lift, 310 duration. cam is 129.95 and set of solid lifters is 116.95. www.cobranda.com

    Have a brand new Lemans 289 cam if anyone is interested....will make an excellent deal since I do not need. If interested, send a private email.....
