I want everybody to have a spot here. Just let me know how you think we should organize the Dodge section best. (or any other section for that matter) This site is here for everyone. I'll do what I can to make it work for you.

Unfortunately I don't have one. Although I have a particularly fond memory of driving through the back roads of east Texas with my grandfather in a Lancer. This was about 10 years ago and we were headed out to his farm. It was around midnight, and we were cruising along at about 135mph. He assured me he knew every curve (having grown up there) as he was laughing at my friends struggling to keep up in an Acura Integra behind us. I tell you, bright lights only go so far and those curves come up in a hurry at 135...Good fun!

WOW! Hey, where did all this take place exactly in East Texas? I live there now and I'd like to see this curvy road in my CSX-T. I'm outside of Tyler (100 east of Dallas on I-20).

    COOL FORUM!

    Thanks
    Todd

Great story RS. Whay did your friend in the Acura say afterwards?

CSXT#534 - If your in Tyler, there are some great curvy and hilly roads just south of Tyler near Lake Palestine. On the north side going from Cumberland Ridge toward Mt. Selma. Then on the south side of the lake just east of Frankston.

And then there are also some fun roads near Winnsboro. In fact, you should come to the annual car show and parade the last Saturday in Oct there - typically over 300 cars.

Sweet! Shoot me some more info on the car show. Sounds like fun.

I'm headed to Ft. Worth today to go check out a monthly meeting of the Lone Star chapter of the Shelby Dodge Automobile Club.

His palms were sweating and he had to turn the air conditioner up full blast. He had no idea where we were so he said he was doing everything he could to keep up and not get lost. My other friend was in the passenger seat acting somewhat as a navigator, keeping another set of eyes on us and the road.

As for the location, I think it was highway 21 maybe, out by Lake Cypress Springs. I would have to look on a map to be sure.

LOL!!! That is hysterical. But at least your friend has a great story to tell about trying to keep up with up Carroll Shelby.

This is fantastic! Finally, a place where Shelby Dodge and Shelby Ford guys can get together and learn about each other's cars.

It will be great to meet new people on both sides of the Shelby coin.

    Take care.

I`m glad to see different sections for each car.Just wondering if you plan on adding a section for the daytona shelby?I know it wasn`t a real shelby but was inspired by him.

You got it. You can post restoration threads in any of these forums...

    Restoration

Just start a new thread for each different restoration theme/part or whatever. For example, you could click the link above and then click on the Upholstery Forum and post a new thread on "shelby seat material for 89 shelby csx-vnt`s." The thread will always be there for people to add to and refer to. Thanks for the suggestion.
