I had my GT 350's clock "restored". Well, that lasted about 9 months. So I put in a quartz mechanism. That worked, but in Division I SAAC concours you'll get pointed for that, and probably in MCA Thouroughbred classes too. Seems all these need is the points filed, and the mechanism cleaned and lubed with light oil. Tach? Somebody else will have to reply about that. But, what car number do you have, and, is the a red line section on the tach face? I've seen them with and with out.
Howdy! A few comments on this subject. The clock is usually an easy fix as mentioned by roddster,if you have a desire to do it yourself, send a private message and i can walk you through it.There are several people who offer tach repair, but if you are in florida check with Pete Geisler in Orlando. He is the local saac rep,and should be able to help you out. I agree with all above. Fixing the clock is easy, did it myself on my 67, but when having the car's battery off for almost a year, it didn't work when connecting the battery again. Regular use probably make the clock work as well. Just for the record, MO-MA moved to New Mexico several years ago. Used them for my 65 Shelby tach. Texas Swede
OK. So I got the clock unstuck and it moves through the cycles freely now. However it now runs at a very fast rate. it is flying! Anyone have an experience with that?
