OK what are we up to now? Let me think, well we have

    07 GT500
    07 GT500 Conv
    07 GT-H
    07 GT
    07 GT500 40th ANNV
    07 GT500 Super Snake

Please feel free to fill in what I missed, I'm not sure of the conv made and what models were made. How do you see this affecting the value later?

Is the Hertz Convertible a 2007 model or will it be a 2008?

Let's stick to the Ford made Shelbys, and what do you think the value will be when Ford has all these different model Shelbys? Yes I forgot the KR and lets include the 08 cars too.

Well, since Ford is limiting how many are built to low numbers........ I would think the values would climb in time BUT..... the Dealers have already jumped over the line with their prices, I think it will be several years before the new Shelby's are worth what the owners actually paid for them. I predict that (sorry to say) you will see a few come up for sale when the owners cant afford to make the payments and have to take a major loss.

That is why I started this, I wanted to know with all the Shelby models made, how it will affect the value down the road. There are a lot of new cars to watch in say 4 to 5 years from not. Which one would be the right one to buy?

Well......... I can only think of 3 that I would buy if I had the Money........ <01> The 2006 Hertz Coupe, only 500 built and they were built AT Shelby. <02> The 2007 Hertz Covertible, (same reason as <01>) <03> the 2008 GT500KR. All 3 cars will have the lowest production numbers.

Good piont! I really don't know were the CS6/CS8 fit. I know they were kits you could buy, and there was a list tof Shelby to build one for you, but I can't remenber if the Shelby plant ever put them on a car or just sold kits. I heard Shelby got in trouble with Ford for making them out of his plant, (Ford didn't like Shelby taking bussiness away from them), them I guess a deal was made them Shelby started making the GT-H, does anyone know for sure or has anyone heard the same thing as I did?

A company in California, West Coast Customs, was to build 25 CS6 Mustangs under contract with Carroll Shelby Licensing. I know because they contacted me and threatened legal action if I didn't remove any and all Tribute Edition Shelby Photos, Information and Articles from my web site. I told them that I would NOT remove them as I was contracted with Carroll Shelby to build the Tribute Edition Shelby Vehicles (Mustangs & Trucks) and just because the contract was over, did not give them the right to make me remove it from my web site. That was the last time I heard from them. Does anyone know if they ever built the 25?

I have read here that people were able to buy kits or part of the kits and were looking for a way to get the center peice with Carrol Shelby name on it. Anyway with so many models being built it should be easy pickings to find a good Shelby at a good price down the road. But if a JP Saleen comes up for sale then what.

Well, I do know that approximately 2100 of 08 Shelby GTs were done b the Las Vegas office. Ford sent them the GT and let Carrol handel it. There are packages you can buy from Shelby Performance Parts to make an exact car, but they would not be numbered, their VIN would not registered, and so on.
In fact we can build just about anything, including the 500, if have the bucks.

The most valuable Shelby is one you drive the hell out of!! When we're dead & gone, who cares how many were made.

    Just my two cents-Mambo1960
