    Hey there,

I was reading on the Nevada Shelby website where all 68 GT500kr's with Automatic Transmissions had an oil cooler.

    Can anyone verify this?

I looked under 1968 on the left side and read down the page to Transmission:

My KR has auto trans but originally had no air. Dealer air was installed at a later date. The car has no oil cooler so I was wondering since it is an Auto if it did in fact originally come with an oil cooler that found a new home at some point during the ownership succession.

It wasn't the automatic that called out the oil cooler but the AC so your car shouldn't have had one. If it ever had one you would find 2 empty screw holes about a foot apart in the lower front radiator support.

Thanks for the information, I thought that was the case but then I read in the Nevada Shelby site that Auotmatics had them which I now know is wrong.
