When I turn the turn signal to make a right turn the front light does not work nor does the one on the dash. Rear light works fine. Lightbulb is not burnt out, tried pushing the light in further manually to see if I had a bad connection but still did not work Left turn works just fine front and back. This is a 66 car. Thanks for any help!
Steve: I would guess that your problem is in your column. Maybe your contact for the front right side isn't making contact with the turn signal wiper. All you have to do is to check for power at the light socket and work your way back to the turn signal switch. You can even feed the wire with 12V to see if the light will work, that will prove that the wire and light are OK. Good luck
Cobra 427. Thanks for your help. Will try and get to the bottom of this. Interestingly enough the front light will turn on with the parking light. Cheers, Steve
I noticed the other day that the right (up) blinker stalk was on nothing was displyed in the dash directional arrow for a right turn. So i pushed it down for left and dang if the right one lit up and actually blinked. ???? So I try various things and figure that when the tilt steering wheel is in a certain position it must pinch a wire bundle and cause the troubles as they work correctly in other tilt positions... Any one else ???????
