I have some unusual info on my Marti report. I was hoping someone might be able to decipher it.

    1. Data plate info 842537 " Home Office Reserve Ordering District Under Special Order #2537" Does anyone know what this means?

    2. The Car was ordered by Queen City Ford in Long Beach California, but then Transfered to Theodore Robins Ford ialso in Long Beach. Then to Downey Auto Center in Costa Mesa. Does any of this make any sence to anyone?

Nothing unusual at all unless you are use to regular Mustangs. Like all special orders the number starts with the district or division ordering the units. The last four digits relate to the order number (upper right hand corner of the order forms for regular special orders)

Not that unusual . Queen City ordered the car the deal or buyer likely backed out and Theodore Robins Ford thought they could sell it. For some reason they could not sell it or Downey needed one and didn't have one (maybe it was a need a certain color or model)

In any case something that happens even today. Don't know if you car was a 350 or 500 If it was a 500 drag pack its easy to undestand since many of these sat for a long time before they were sold

500 no drag pack. I guess you are right, it took 5 months to sell.
