    Would like to know the correct tire for my car - 1969 Shelby GT500 #1960
    I have both the Original invoice and the buildsheet and of course they say two different things.
    Buildsheet = F70x14
    Invoice = F60x15 TIRES-XHD SUSPENSION
    I'm assuming the invoice is right since that how it was being sold...but i really have no clue. Also - what does the XHD Suspension stand for?

    Thanks

    I copied this from another reply I just made, the F60x15 size should be correct.

    In regards to the tire size question, I am fairly certain that I read that the cars were shipped from Ford to the A.O. Smith plant (where they recieved all of the Shelby mods) with standard rims & tires (F70-14's). The 15" Shelby tires and rims were installed at the A.O Smith plant. My build sheet says 5 under the tires quantity info but then has a note at the bottom that says "whls tires 4 only". I think all 69/70 Shelby build sheets will show the F70-14 size as that is how they left the Ford plant.

    I have no idea as to the XHD suspension. My build sheet just shows an H under the heavy duty section of "Suspension Packages" section. I thought I read that the Shelbys had the same suspension as the Mach 1's
