Have been looking for a solution for a rare, can't find piece.

On the 67 428 dual 4v choke tubes, the inlet tube is short and from pictures I believe a screen was used to filter the air that heats the choke on the carb.

Does anyone have an idea of where or how to obtain this piece.

From pic's it looks like a fuel tank pick-up screen, but all metal, with a 1/4" tube fitting.

You might want to try at "Pony Carbs", they have a website. They were pretty helpful to me.

That part certainly looks a lot like the fuel strainer found on the end of a fuel tank pick up. A local auto parts store might have one. Maybe.

    Dave,
You are looking for a Thermochoke Air Filter Assembly The part number is C4DZ 9C791 A it fits on the end of the choke control inlet tube 1/4" O.D. Steel Tube. When you find this part dont forget to get two of them. One for you and one for me.
    Regards,
    Jim Hull

Thanks Jim, but I was hoping that you had already picked one up for me.
Is good to have the part number though, I guess?

Maybe I should call Ford parts.

If I find a solution, I'll let you know. Dave

P.S. Please do the same with me!!!
