Might get some unusual responses but here goes. How do we handle, encourage, help out, support, those invaluable partners who support YOUR hobby? The ones that join in, hate it, support it, love it, drive it, polish it. Wives, partners, girlfriends, boyfriends, doesn't matter, they all help us in some way. Maybe they dont at all?? Just trying to get a handle on who we are and how we go about treasuring these cars.
Most Shelby owners, but not all, stick with one year, or the bi year team up like 65/66, 67/68, 69/70. I love the 67's so that is who I'll hang with at any show I'm at. I enjoy the running changes by car series of the 67 model year. Seems every 200-400 car numbers something is different. Yeah, I know some folks are trying to own more than 1 year, but those folks are far between, and anyway; good for them. Whats to support? If I like the suppliers services of product, I'll continue to buy from them, and, if anyone if dissing them on the net, I defend them. Some owners are helpful, others don't know nothing, some know too much. Just like high school.
When it comes to Cars...... I live by three Rules: <01> It will ALWAYS be a "Work in Progress", Always. <02> Keep an Open Mind, you will "ALWAYS" learn something New. <03> Never knock someone elses Ride. I hate being at a Cruise Inn or Local Car Show and hear someone who has spent tons of money on thier Car, paying some Shop to do all the work, begin bashing someone elses Car because that person can only spend a little at a time on his/her Car.
