Hi everyone! Just posting a quick message so I can utilize this site more. Looks like a lot of great resources available to Shelby owners here! Since some idiot rear-end and totaled my 96 Saleen last month, I've been thinking of spending some of that $ and put my 66 GT-350 in the body shop. I've had it since 1981 when I bought it for $5,300 , and restored it pretty nice about 20 years ago. But, since I believe they should be driven and not trailered, it's now in dire need of attention. I just ordered some new AR Torq Thrust II CL205's, 7 x 16 (4.25 BS), and 8 x 16 (5.00 BS), to replace my old 7 x 15 Pantera wheels currently on the car. Haven't had a chance to check the clearance on those new back wheels, but I'm hoping they'll fit okay. Later, Ken Firch sfm6s524
Just bolted up the bare wheels, perfect offset I must say! The fronts are fine, same offset as the Pantera Campi's. The rear wheel is 1 inch from the leaf springs. I currently run 225/60 15's all around. Would like to run 225/50 16's on the front, and 245/45 16's on the rear. I have Del-Alum bushings in the leafs which will hopefully keep the rear centered enough. Sure would like to run something like the Yokohama A048's, or something like that, but they don't have a 245. But, I'd prefer to run good ol' American made tires too, as long as they stick. Ken
