Shelby GT500 shopping

I am from Kansas City and i am still dealing with the terrible pricing of these cars. a dealer wants 15 over for the gt 500 and 25 over for the shelby gt. This is not understandable because the shelby gt is at msrp on ebay.

I have spoke to dealers here in PA and eastern NJ that are close to MSRP for both the Shelby GT and the GT500, they say the adjustment is nego.

 

I started a Thread where people can post the Dealerships that Sell at MSRP....... So far only one person has posted in it. Check it out.

 

You can also go to the Ford Motor Company Web Site and click on the Ford Link then do the Search for a Dealer near you. Then do the Make and Model search for the Mustangs and see if they have a Shelby GT 500 listed. If there is one listed, most likely, it will show the MSRP price. A good Friend that is an Attorney (that way he/she wont charge you for services) could make a good case to make them sell it to you at THAT Advertised Price. Our Ford Dealership now has a Used GT 500 Coupe on the Lot. It is Black with Silver Graphite Stripes and was owned by the Owner of the Atlantic Falcons.

Still clown pricing here in Vegas. I checked out the local dealer - 2 GT500s, 3Shelby GTs, 1 ford GT. All Shelbys still come with "whoopie" pricing there. But I know I could get a good deal on a mustang GT - maybe high 23s for a 5sp deluxe.

0% for 36 months applies to Shelbys, but no Shelby in my driveway.

Our Ford Dealer here in Tallahassee Florida still has the used 2007 Black Shelby GT 500 Coupe with about 1200 miles on it. They are asking $59,999.00 for it.

 

USED? WOW--wonder where that came from? We don't drive ours except when they come in by the service department and well yes the owner did drive the very first one around the block. but i guess he owned it until the buyer paid for it. We are getting less that the $59,999 for one with almost NO miles. hmmmmmm

The Dealership bought the Car two weeks ago (used) and it Supposedly was owned by the Owner of the Atlanta Falcons Football Team (NFL). And Yes......it is priced WAY to high.

 

Nobody's gonna want that one, it probally has ties to Michael Vick

 

They might have to ship it out of state and remove the pitbull carcasses from the trunk for a sale...

 

I bought mine at MSRP ($45,060) on Aug 20 in Sacramento CA. Sorry, it was their last 07. They sold their first two at $30K over, the third one at $20K over and the 4th at $13K over. I got lucky. Called on a Monday asked about it. They were asking $5K over, I said I would do MSRP that day. He had to ask the owner and would call back. True to his word he called back an hour later and asked when I'd be in. No BS when I got there. Put $5K on my CC and financed the rest including TT&L for 36 months at 0%.

 

I too am from Kansas City and after a local dealer Bob Allen Ford listed a 07 GT500 convert for 49835.00(sticker) I thought things were changing. I hit the buy it now button but the next morning I got a email form the ebay sales mgr at the dealership stating he meant to post it at 59,835. I tried to appeal to his sense of integrity refering to his auction discription stating the auction was a binding contract.He said He simply would not sell it at that price and 57,000.00 was the lowest he would sell. Bottom line my attorney said it would probably cost 5,000.00 and 6 months to help him find his integrity. 2 days later I watched a higher optioned convert struggle to get to 50,000.00 the auction had a OR OFFER option so I offered 52,618.00 and he took it. I had to fly to Atlanta to pick the car up but I picked up a friend in Indiana and drove to the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit. I was a great way to break the engine in. I was disapointed with the performance at first compared to my Ford GT but was told by others that it would start to come alive after a 1000 mi. To my surprise it did just that plus I discovered the traction control off button-ha,ha. So it all worked out in the end and the 0% was iceing on the cake. I hope this might inspire others to go the ebay route and buy from another city were the dealers are more negotiable. I would incourage opening a dialoge with unsuccesfull dealer sellers(only new cars qualify for 0%). Especially while the 0% is still offered. Bob

 

Same in the DC area although the sticker in the window says 68,995 and is now reduced to 59,995 with 1104 miles on it.

 

Last I heard was that Flemington Ford in NJ had one, GT500, at MSRP.
