New thread: Slick 50

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by APPTELINC@aol.com, Mar 16, 2005.

  1. I used slick 50 in the past before buying my last 2 new cars. Both the
Cooper S and Benz use synthetic and tell you when to bring the car in for an oil
change, which to date have all been covered by the service plan(s)
Who is using Slick 50, and how does it work with synthetics and conventional
    oils?
    Problems?

  2. I seem to remember that Slick 50 was proven to be a waste of money. I believe there were some lawsuits pertaining to this but my memory is vague. Wasn't there something about the claim that the Teflon in Slick 50 bonds to cylinder wall is scientifically impossible?
Anyone else with a better memory?
    Ron
