In addition to Bob G's correct statements, the assembly line Carter fuel pump has the logo on the side of the armature housing that looks like this CARbureTER. Be aware that the later Carter pumps although visually correct, just say CARTER. Jim the assembly line 67 GT500 fuel pump is the carter fuel pump with the button top and crimped on sheet metal lower half which has the screw on fuel filter (correct filter can is white and Autolite marked) .
