Hi Everyone, I am new here and have a 2007 Red/White Shelby GT500...few months old. I am having an issue where I get a clutch noise (dealer says clutch noise) Its a high piercing squeak for about 1 to 2 secouds, when I let the clutch out and as I give it gas (from 1st gear only). Just wondering if anyone has read or seen or also might be having the same noise. Thanks
I don't get a squeek but I do have what sounds like a piece of paper sliding across a wooden floor just before the clutch grabs... I was told that it is the material in the clutch breaking in. If I heard a metallic squeek I would think it would be the throw out bearing more so than the clutch...
I had Ford replace it the other day, 2 weeks to get a new clutch. Was told that the bad one, looked smooth, this is not what Ford was expecting and they wonder if I was riding the clutch..NO!! So it could be that it was bad from day one; the new clutch is working fine, feels good. Will see what happens I have been told an Hiss noise is normal and I do hear that right as it enages.
