What are the widest front and rear rim sizes that can be stuffed under these cars? And, of course, how wide a tire fits? I currently drive a 2003 Mach1 with 17X9's in front and 17X10.5's in back; running 275/40's and 315/30's(drag radials-but of course!), so the wide rubber look is VERY important to me. The local Ford dealer(not a good HIPO dealer) is choking on a 2007 Shelby GT, and maybe I can work a trade. But I'd like the right look if it's to be mine. I'm thinking a GT500 rear spoiler, change the billet grille, also, to a GT500(some modification, I'm sure),and a cobra emblem SOMEWHERE! And PAINT the stripes, so at least they are on there straight! But those bicycle tires and rims have got to go! Anyway, hope someone has some ideas.

P.S. The one that got away: I sold a '67 GT500 from Colorado in 1984 for $6000.00. How DUMB was that?! And to make it worse, I received documentation 6 months later that it was one of the very few that were shipped to the dealer with an "open" engine bay and had a side-oiler 427 medium riser installed by the dealer!

I have seen some that are 9" but have varying offsets. I am lost as to which is which and why. I have also seen some that advertise 10" rears and also others that advertise "staggered" but I don't know if that means 20" rear wheels and 18" fronts or if that means 10" wide rears and 9" wide fronts...

I hope someone knows and can help us learn what to look for... What backspacing do they have stock?

I have seen 24 and 40 on 9"... I am guessing that the lower offset is for the rear wheels so they look like they stick out further??? I would rather get a set of 8.5s or 9s for the front and some 10s for the rear...
