    Hello Everyone,

I am sure that most of you have seen the "Do You Trust Your Wife?" advertisement for the '67 Shelbys.

My wife and I have been married for six years. She has been a proud passenger in the first production G.T. 500 many times, but today I decided to change things up a bit. This morning I decided that I would be a great time to take the car out for a drive. She did not know about my plan. We left the house with me driving and her riding shotgun. After about 20 minutes, I pulled over to the side of the road and said to her, "your turn". At first she hesitated and did not know what to say. After a few seconds she got out and walked around the car to the driver's side and got in. We got buckled in and away we went!

She had a blast driving the car! We were on the outskirts of town and she got us going about 75 mph for a little ways. She did just fine driving it, she enjoyed it, and boy was she ever getting a kick out of the admiring looks we were getting from the other drivers. I have to admit that I got a charge out of riding shotgun with her driving. I was proud of her. We were only out for about 45 minutes, but it really was a lot of fun. We are going to have to do this more often.

Just wanted to share this little story.

    Thanks,
    Eric

hmmmm... That ad shows the wife with the car by herself. The question now becomes: How much do you Trust Your Wife? Will you see black marks out in front of the house when you come home from work? Will you leave the keys out... she might be snake bitten now -there is no cure.

I have been married for 42 years. This is my wife's car. We bought it from Charlie Sheen about nine years ago and my wife drives it whenever the weather is good which is a lot here in eastern Oklahoma. I have my own 67 GT 500 with a 427 tunnel port. Great therapy.

    All,

I think she can be trusted with the car when I am not home....??? She has been "snake bitten" for a long time. I am sure that finding a "cure" will put a hurtin on the bank account. Sharing one car may have to suffice for a while.

Frank, congratulations on the long marriage. The two of you must be doing something right. That is a great looking '67 G.T. 500 your wife drives. I am sure that both of you enjoy your fine looking collection of '67s.

    Thanks,
    Eric

My wife has driven our 1967 Shelby several times. We have gone to several car shows where she drives the shelby and I take one of the Tigers. I usually follow her - it's fun to watch people's reaction when she pulls up next to them at the red light.

Yes by the way, I trust my wife.
