428cj removal?

    Was just wondering if a 428 cj can be wiggled out from the bay while the manifolds are still attached?Thanks

    I have always removed the pass side exhaust manifold before removal .I should rephrase that I unbolt the manifold and then pull the engine.

    Howdy Keith! glad to see you are working on your car.The engine can be removed with both manifolds on,and the H pipe still in place if need be.It is a tight fit,but that is how they were originally assembeled.Are you doing the 68 or the 69? Also make sure your engine stand is rated to hold the engine,and can be rolled around easily.I have a spare if you need to borrow one.Keep in touch,And don't hesitate to call me at campbells if you need help,or have questions.A.D.
