There are obviously alot of ford gurus on this site so here we go.

I found an original pair of 427 eagle emblems at a swap meet about 4 years ago. They are made of aluminum, have most of the original paint, and all the mounting pegs on the back are still strait and accounted for. These commonly came off of 427 galaxies/thunderbolts in 63-64......i think.

However, i have kind of gotten tired of them and am looking to sell. The problem is that i have absolutely no idea what they are worth.
Can anyone give me some advice or even any leads as to who might be in need of some good emblems for a restoration?

These are very hard to come by and i want them to go to someone who really needs them.

Any help whatsoever who be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Would be interested in trades for original shelby/cobra literature if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
    Best Regards,
    Vern

Are you sure they are originals? Diecast gold with black paint repops have been available for years at about $25.00 each.

Im pretty sure that most repops are plastic.

The ones that are metal are very thick and heavy.
Ive been comparing them with the sellers of past emblems on ebay.
They have all the same traits as what they say is original.

All repops that i have seen are not even close to what i have.

Any other forums that i could post this message on to get a better response?

    Thanks ALot,
    Vern

Those seem to be way out of proportion.
Spot were the flag touches the wing to the tip of the wing is way too long.
For some reason, there dont seem to be many repops that are very true to the original.
Will post some pics when i get the chance.
    BEst Regards,
    Vern

That picture on Mac's web site is a drawing. The 390 one is an actual picture. It would be great if yours are originals but I am just helping you be sure as I have sold one part on E-bay I thought was original and it was a repop. Anyway, I refunded the guys money and no one got hurt. Here is a repop next to the original.

How where you able to tell that the one you sold was a repop?

I was selling the disclaimer tag from a 1963 factory lightweight Galaxy. I did not even know they were available as a repop. The gentlemen who purchased it for nearly $200.00 proved to me it was a $11.00 repop and I refunded his money. As far as your badges, I don't know for sure how to verify yours. I just wanted to point out that diecast repops were available. I can call Dave Stump tomorow and ask him. He has a Thunderbolt and was a racer in that period, he is very knowledgeable about any thing to do with Thunderbolts.
