Sealing Aluminum COBRA Oil Pans

    I wouldn't so concerned about all aluminum pans leaking. A porous casting will leak of course, but the odds are most castings are not porous and will never leak.

    I would stay with the aluminum pan.On my car ,it really helps lowering the oil temperature when working the car hard.

    Clear powdercoat is available in dead flat finish, satin, different degrees of semi-gloss, full gloss, and super gloss which is rated well over 100% reflectivity.
    When you choose what method you will try I would suggest blocking the oil within the pan interior vs allowing it to migrate though the pan and then trapping it at the outter surface with a coating. Stop the problem at the source and keep your natural aluminum finish intact.
