At a Shelby club meeting in the second week in Sept. '07 I heard a speech by an engineer with one of those supplier firms to Ford and I thought he said that Ford approved making 300 special Mustangs in orange for early '08! Maybe this is to counter the what I would call school-bus-yellow Saleen Parnelli Jones models? Anyhow he said the plan was to make 500 but when they showed it to the dealers, the dealers only advance-ordered 300. Not sure if this will be badged as a Shelby. He also said that in the spring of '08 there will be a Shelby Mustang with 650 hp. but he can't tell us the name yet, but iheck isn't that the one already widely publicized as the "KR?" Anyhow it was fun to hear the gossip about how these packages get built and bought by dealers, for us to covet 40 years later.
I heard the orange ones are special Shelby GT's for California only. I am not sure of the specifics of the package.
I can tell you without hesitation at least one orange Shelby will be coming out in '08. But, it will be 40 years old.
ALSO...... There is someone on this board that lives near Shelby's Company that posted about these cars and even posted a photo of the Parking Lot that had a bunch of Graber Orange GT Mustangs. I looked for it but could not find it. David.

I drove through Las Vegas last week and saw them sitting out in the parking lot. I also drove through in June and saw 1 lone orange convertible sitting out in the lot. That would probably be a very limited edition version if it was completed. Jay
