I was in Las Vegas this last weekend for the Craftsman Truck races and was able to swing by Shelby's. Here are some pictures of the fleet in the parking lot. Very awesome sight to see.
awesome pics!! You just made history with those pics. They remind me of the 65-67 Shelby lot in L.A. back in the day. Jim
Orange Shelby's Brian, thanks for the pics; being pretty new to this whole Shelby search I hadn't really been aware of the orange/silver. Do I understand this is a Calif only car or can any dealer get them?
Calif orange GTs Thanks Robin. I posted elsewhere asking more about this and understand only CA dealers got them. So it must have been some CA-only promotion? Interesting.
How did these california cars come about as Ford is already making the new California Special? Best Regards, Vern
Mustang California Specials (GTs with some added cosmetic features) are available nationwide. Probably just as popular outside of California than in California. Cost is slightly more than a regular GT. Shelby GTs in grabber orange are destined ONLY for Southern California and carry the price tag of a Shelby GT.
Will it go under the name Shelby GT and just have a different color or will it be a whole other model or special addition? Best Regards, Vern
You can't quote me on this because I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking this is only a different paint scheme. Why CA? I don't know. But the color is kind of growing on me ... but I don't have any contacts in CA. If anyone does. I'd like to speak with a dealer there harrlaw@comcast.net
Also, i was under the impression that the dark blue color was to only come on the converts. I guess, judging by the pics, it can be had on the new hard tops as well! Was anyone else mistaken like me? Best Regards, Vern
Hi Vern, I did know they were doing both because of as much reading as I've done; however, the 2007 GT-H's were only convertibles. I've got the picture of the Grabber Orange cars on my computer wallpaper and have to say it's growing on me!
