Can someone please help me out with how to disassemble the seat belt receptacle on 67 belts.
It looks to me like the top part where the button is comes off by prying up on the back (opposite where the other belt plugs in). I've tried this but it doesn't seem to be working. I need to repaint the top parts and some of the receptacles have rust inside.

    Thanks for any help.

If I don't recall wrong, I pried in each corner of the end you describe
lifted the cover and pushed the cover off in the opposite direction.
Replaced my emblems some years ago.
    Worked out fine.

Thanks, I did get them all apart.
Now I have a couple questions.
Does anyone know of a place that sells parts for these belts? The steel bar that the belts run through are very badly rusted on a couple of them and the belts are stuck to it. I'm hoping to save the belt but i doubt the blocks will be reusable.
Secondly, what type of paint was used to paint the black covers on these belts? At first I thought it was just black krinkle paint but upon closer inspection it seems to have a leather looking texture.

    Thanks for any help.
