I saw this and thought "WOW" i thought my Shelby project was a huge task....Check this baby out.... http://www.shelbymustang.com/photo.php?directory=cars/new_inventory/1968_red_kr_convertible/&&image= I'D say shes worthy and do-able
4 Year Later: "Fresh out of restoration on an original and untouched car. Never been in an accident!" A ton of work to say the very least! BEst Regards, Vern
Does not look that bad considering it was a "Roll Over". The Windshield Frame is the worst of it. David.
I visit that site many times. They get a lot of project cars in. I was inches away from buying this Shelby shown at this link....... http://www.shelbymustang.com/photo.php?directory=cars/new_inventory/1967_blue_gt350_2/&&image= The asking price was 69K. The car was complete and correct. I thought it was a ok deal since I do 90% of the work myslef. Thankfully I found a better Shelby for less money and ended up with it. (#3000) Jim
Actually the worst of it was looking up at the floor pan and seeing the bottom of the steering column.
click on that Shelby Conv link right under Jim Morrison and look at that 69 350 conv they found... Makes the KR look great. Looks like something dredged up from an archelogical dig http://www.shelbymustang.com/Shelby_convertible_project.php
I don't think there is a single part on that car that is usable. The funny thing is that the paint on the cowl is still shinny.
