I know I keep using Viper references, but that's what I did- saw the car at the Detroit Auto Show in '89, saw what they were going for in '92, waited and finally ordered a '96 roadster at below list. From that experience I can truly say that, while patience is a virtue, it's also a pain in the butt, but I'll be damned if I'll pay some dealer over list just to be the first on my block. Maybe it's because I've already got too many cars for my own good, and as an economics major I fully understand the concept of supply and demand- I'd just rather wait.
