    Hi Everyone,

With all of the paperwork and history I received with my 66 there is an old keyring tag that has the above dealers details. The 1971 Title confirms that a lien was taken by St.Petersburg Municipal Employees Credit Union on 5/5/71so I'm assuming that the car was bought from Grant Ford.

Can anyone locally in Florida confirm whether the above dealership is still trading or knows when it was closed?

    Rohan,
I live in Tampa across the bridge. There is no Grant Ford listed in the phone book. The only Ford dealer listed in St Pete now is Autoway, which is a large chain here. I'll ask around and see if someone knows what happened to them.

A friend of mine told me about your question and yes there was a Grant Ford in St. Petersburg, Fl back in the 60's and 70's. My dad was the truck and fleet manager at Grant Ford and quit in 1973 after working there for 12 years. Back in 1965 they sponsored a 1965 Hipo 289 Mustang that they drag raced at the local tracks and went to the US Nationals at Indy in 1966. Bill Grant Jr. ordered a 260 black Cobra roadster that they had for quite awhile before selling. The dealership was sold sometime probably in the 80's or 90's.

I just notice that Jimmy was the one that answered your question and he asked me about Grant's.
