Hello all, I've been a member since August but this is my first time posting. I know we all admire Mr. Shelby's cars but I'd like to comment on another aspect of his life. My sister was recently killed in an auto accident and my niece is in a comma at Parkland Trauma Center with serious injuries. When Carroll found out about this he came to the hospital to visit my niece and encourage my family. Shelby is a busy man and he did not have to do this but I think it speaks volumes about the charactor of this great man and his desire to help others through the Shelby Heart Fund. I hope that as we enjoy the upcoming holidays and exchange gifts that you remember Shelby's charitable foundation and make a donation that may save a life. Thanks for allowing me to share.
Very sorry to hear about the tragic news about your family. Carroll Shelby is a big man with a big heart. This man has done more to help others than we will ever know. He helped a man from my hometown here in central CA get through a heart transplant who later became Shelby's CEO. Our prayers are with you and your family. Welcome!
Sorry to hear that, my prayers are with you and your family. The Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation is a GREAT cause. Besides the Charities that the Car Shows that I enter sponsor (about 20 a year), The CSCF is the only one that I choose to donate to. Kids are the future. David.
