Sounds like a beauty! Mine has 71000 miles but mostly still needs minor stuff Brake booster and master cyl had leaky seal causing brake pedal to not release so booster got fluid in it ..both being rebuilt now but that gives no road time for now ...weather sucks anyway in NY this time of year so its OK

    1965 GT350 - The FOMOCO CAR

5S195, is the only 65 GT350 known to have been owned by Ford Motor Company. Restored by Ford in early 80's and used in promotions with a Cobra and Ford GT. Also reported to have had a tour of duty at the Henry Ford Museum. Original R-Model magnesium racing wheels installed when Ford owned. Weber 48-IDA Carburetor set up, including original SHELBY intake, installed by current owner.

I have two. A 68 highland green GT350 just finished restoration. Actually found the vin numbers stamped on the block and transmission and all original sheet metal. I also have a 69 candy apple red GT350 with 4 speed and air. This car is all original except for a repaint in 83. The car was put in storage from 83 till 2000. I got the car about a year ago and it has 39,000 miles.

Well this is only my second post. I had posted in the wanted section that I was looking for a GT350 previously. I have had 3 Hertz cars and a 65 also. Finally found the right car for a long term keeper it is 6S2299. Looking forward to SAAC 30!!

Re: Original GT350's - what ya got?

By "Smoged" do you mean with secondary air injection into the exhaust ports?

If so, then 'yes'! I have 02751 here in England and when I got it, it had a mechanical air pump driven off the front pulleys. It pumped air into holes tapped into the head just above (and exiting into) the exhaust ports.

I took all this off and plugged the holes to de-clutter the engine bay. I still have the pump, brackets and hoses in a box in the attic!

I see your '67 has a serial number close to mine - would this mean they are very similar spec?
