    The reference that I was making is that it is very common in all areas of
    collectibles. The most original and highest quality material generally has the
    sharpest increase in relative value in the long run. At some point the value
    increases on the original material, as it is always scarcer. Something can
    only be original once. I am talking about relative values, not individual
    cars.
    There will always be buyers who have an interest in a car and are willing to
    over pay for it.
    Isn't it worth paying extra to get what you really want anyway?
