Own 2006 Shelby GT-H #286. Great car, issue with stripes on hood, roof, trunk and bumpers being very faded however. Has anybody acquired replacement stripes from Shelby for their GT-H? Understand they are very difficult to apply. Any experience with them?

Or has anybody painted the stripes over/on? If so, what color code gold was used? Understand the stripes are a proprietary Shelby color and can not be duplicated. Anybody get close to the color?

    Thanks

I install Vinyl Graphics as a side Business. The Lemans Stripes are not that hard to install. I ALWAYS install Graphics WET. That way I can make the needed adjustments before I sqweegy them down. Also, DO NOT use that Vinyl Eraser Wheel. The Stripes should just Peel Off with no problems because they are NOT High Performance Vinyl Being an 06 Model and on top of the Car where the sun hits it all day, it is about time for them to start to fade. If at all possible find some in High Performance Vinyl. One more note of caution: Do Not Wax the Lemans Stripes. Vinyl needs to breath.

    Thanks

I think the Lemans stripes come in 10" , just measured the Shelby, they are 9" stripes. Of course.......foiled at ever turn.

    Hope Shelby sells replacement stripes.......

Maybe you can take the Car to an Automotive Paint Supply Store like "House of Color" and they should be able to match the color of the Stripes for a Base Coat Clear Coat Paint. Metalic size and all. Here is a Link to "Planet Color" http://www.planetcolor.com/products/

I own 311, and 402, and when I purchased them last
year, I also noticed the stripes coming off at places, and also the side stripes did not match. I ordered 2 stripe kits from Shelby. It took a lot of calling, and Pulling strings with people I know there, to get the stripes. Apparently they are made somewhere in Europe ( I was told) and I had to wait almost 3 months to get them. The price was 800. for a complete set. After I had a professional install them, the cars never looked so good. Well worth it. I later found out why the side stripes didn't match. While being rented, some part of the side stripes got scratched or damaged. The Herts co. sent the cars out to have the stripe repaired from a local shop. They couldn't match the color very well. Hope you can use this info.
