    <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The term is galvanic corrosion.&nbsp;Yes, it is a concern when using aluminum and cast iron together in a cooling system. Slowly over time the aluminum will be eaten away as the coolant circulates through the system. The solution is to&nbsp;have some magnesium in the system to act as a sacrificial anode so that the magnesium is eaten away instead of the aluminum. If you have a surge tank or over flow bottle you put&nbsp;some solid magnesium in there. I have also seen a product where the magnesium&nbsp;hangs from the radiator cap. I can't remember what catalog&nbsp;I saw that&nbsp;product in. Anybody remember seeing it somewhere?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p></P>
