Just wanted to say what a great site you have. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I ate way too much. Thanks for the invitation to join, Steve
I began it all with my 1970 Camaro Z28. It's an all original car (drivetrain) and I restored it down to the nut & bolt. Then I bought my 1970 Mach 1, it's a 351 Cleveland with a shaker and a 4 speed. I didn't do the level of work on this one that I did on my Camaro because I wanted to be able to drive & enjoy it. I bought my Boss 302 last year and have began restoration on that one. It had undercoating on the bottom that hid some rust issues. I am in the process of scraping off undercoating and making it look new again. The engine was smoking a little so I took it out and have it about finished at the machine shop. We bored it .030 over and did all the necessary work inside. I hope to get it back in the next week or so to allow me to rebuild it. The engine had been changed out to hydraulic lifters and I changed it back to solid's and a new cam from Holman-Moody. The interior on the car was original and in perfect condition. I picked up a 65 Fastback to restore and it's just waiting its turn. It is a 6 cylinder car that I plan to take the V8 drivetrain from the coupe to swap. I would like to make a Shelby GT350 Clone. I also found an old Camaro that a hunting buddy told me about. I offered $500 for the car and that got it bought. I got the car home and ran the trim tag to find that it was an original SS396 car and to top that it was an original L78 (375HP Solid Lifter) car. It's a black on black with a 4 speed car. It will be nice someday. That's about it.. The old 53 Ford truck is running with it's original flathead and a 3 speed overdrive. Not planning on much to it besides updating the crispy wiring. Thanks for the interest.. Steve
