Hi all, tech question for 67 Shelby GT 350'S BUILD DATE 6/27/67. Should my car have Black Or Cadmium color fender and shock tower bolts inside the engine compartment? They look black now with flat washers but, I cant tell if the Cadmium wore off or if its dirt. Any help would be great.

    Thanks !!!!

    Jim

Both types of fender bolts used were zinc phoshate which appears as a medium to dark gray color. SEMS and double hash marks " " markings were used .

Thanks Bob. I viewed a few pictures of restored Shelbys and i see the color you mentioned. So your saying Ford used that color Gray all through 67 production year? I found a few vendors that offer fender bolt kits but in black or Cadmium only. Any vendors that you know of offer the gray bolts?

    Thanks again
    Jim

The venders that sell the cad silver bolts for a 67 Shelby are misinformed. 68 shelby used the silver bolts biut had different markings.AMK products sells the bolts you need . They have a website. You would need the " " double hash marks for your VIN car. I hope this helps.

I took an inventory of all the parts that were in boxes, Unfortunately a majority of the bolts are missing. (remember how this car was disassembled Dave?..lol)
