Hey guys, I am not sure if any of you guys were into Slot Car racing as kids or even now, it's getting popular again. There have been some limited edition Mark Donohue Race Cars (The Gt350R's) made (4000) and they are selling Ebay and other places. Neat for the office or to race on a track. I also found a Cobra as well. Best to leave these in the box for collectibility (similar to a trailer queen) or race them. Hell, buy two and race one and save one. Here they are: http://toys.search.ebay.com/shelby_...ZQQsargnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ2QQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZbs
It had been a while since I been into these so I did a little research. The smallest cars which I are pretty common are H/O scale. These are the tracks most common in the store. The next scale for slot cars is 1/43, then 1/32, then 1/24 which is the biggest. The most common types today are 1/32 and 1/43 and of course the small H/O. The 1/32 and 1/43 are interchangeable and can work on the same track. The cars you were looking at in the link I sent were 1/32. They are about the size of your hand. I have 3 boys so they are getting into this and of course their dad is buying all the Shelby cars for fun and display. http://www.google.com/search?q=slot+cars&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_en__209__209
Thanks Mike, I have not thought about slot cars in years. I had a lot of fun with them when I was young! Randall
