How many of you run the huge spring on the clutch up under the dash?

I've seen some postings on other sites that they were often discarded early on.

Was wondering if you are keeping yours?

What issues would keeping or losing involve? (performance, usage, etc.)

    Thanks,....

Mine was missing. I purchased a NOS one and installed it. I am running a Centerforce dual diaphram clutch, so pedal pressure is ok. The trick to installing the spring is to spread a gap between coils, one at a time, and stick a quarter between the coils. Stick 10-15 quarters between the coils and it will be long enought to easily install. Then remove the quarters one at a time. Don't forget the small insulator on each mount. Rick

My GT-500 has it,and yours should. Ford put it there for a good reason and I can't think of any reason why anybody would think that it wasn't needed !
