I was going through the stack of paperwork that came with my recent purchase of 6S1185 and found a copy of the Manufactures Statement of Origin from Shelby America! It was signed and dated by the finance guy at SA (I don't recall his name at the moment). This was with the application for the original title by Hertz in Florida. In addition, I received copies of all of the titles through 1974 where the paper trail ends. Seems one of the previous owners, who I spoke with today, dug up all these records when he purchased the car sometime in the early 80's. I also have the entire history from circa 1980 to today. Just need to fill in the gaps from 1974 to 1980ish.

Cool to see the original Shelby document!!

    thx

Any chance you could scan and post the document.

When you get around to registering the car with SAAC, keep those originals, and let them have copies. Because, if you do it the other way around, you'll (or the next owner) will only get copies.

I have the statement of Origin and every title back to 67 myself, cool indeed. The guy who owned the car from 83 to 2003 was a nut in a good way, he tracked it all down.
