1965 GT350 Dash Horn Switch?

    The only part for my 1965 Shelby clone that I have been unable to locate is the dash horn switch. I know these switches are not in production, but has anyone found a switch that will work? Thanks!

    I am working on a new switch, that while not exact, will be close.
    During the winter I hope to complete the process.

    I have not had the time to get to it yet, I have got the PM's from all of you.
    As soon as I can get a reasonably decent looking unit, I will post pix with an original side by side for comparison.

    Hi guys,
    Some time ago, I bought a spare switch from a vendor
    in the U.K. It looks like the original with two exceptions:
    Bezel is plastic instead of metal and the rod that holds the
    switch handle is plastic instead of metal as well.
    See picture. Total cost including shipping was USD 17.00.
    The company that sells them has them on ebay.uk all the
    time. The original switch was made by Raydyot in U.K.
    and was called a S-34 Signaling Flick Switch

    Those original switches are hard to see anymore.. Almost everyone seems to have a version of the replacement on their car. It would be great if somebody could take a good clear photo of their original switch and post it here. I had to create one from thin air.. I had always thought the original was a Lukas item .. It seems I was mistaken.

    Tex has the correct one, An earlier post indicated a manufacturer that I am not sure is correct. I was under the impression it was a Bulgin switch.

    Can you meassure the outer diameter of the "Washer"?
    I think we have one like this at work i only need to cut the threat
    in it and file the two little outer grooves.
    The switch itself i could make a mold out of a lukas switch and glu
    it on my switch i found at work.

    Please remember that the horn switch placement for the R-model
    was different than the one for the S-model.

    In the Shelby book from Tom Cocoran the R Model
    hast a switch too just nut beside the radio hole its above.
    What infos do you have Bo? Please don´t make any jokes

    The R-models I have seen has had the horn switch
    above the radio opening in the dash, quite far to the left.
    Different positions, i.e. not exactly the same for every car, however.
    All was the same type I have in 5S275. Raydyot S-34.
    Maybe Bob Gaines can tell us for sure.

    They probably used the left hole for the dash cover.

    Hi guys

    Now i think i build my own switch. The nut for the outside is finished
    and here i have made a sample for wich i need your help.
    Could you give me the meassurements for A B C and D please?
    And the width of the switch handle.
    What you see on the pictures should be the switch from the side few.
    I made it out of 1 mm thick alloy and will later have it milled on the machine.
    By the way do you think the shape is good enough?? I made it only of what
    i could remember from your pictures.

    But for now please give me your answers pllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssee!!

    Or what would be better make a picture exactly from the side so i have the exact shape. I print it and cut it
    out on a paper thats enough for the guy who mills it for me.
    <<<by the wa are the sides rounded??? Hard to see.
