I don't have a horsey on my grille. I ordered one for the grille, but it must need special attaching hardware. The one I received has the three prongs, and some pushnuts. That won't work on the grille. Any help out there? Thanks

As far as I know, there is supposed to be a special mounting
bracket for the 66 horse in the grill.
Try Jim Cowles at Shelby Restorations. He may be able to
    help you.

Since we are on the subject . The original emblems had thin mounting pins and a C4 engineering number . Because the mounting pins were thin they broke and a improved emblem was put into service with thicker pins and a C8 engineering number. The original C4 emblems in good to excellent condition are rare. The pin thickness is a easy way to tell if a assembly line emblem is in place. Up until now your only choice was a Ford C8 emblem or repro of the C8 emblem. The good news is Scott Drake is reproducing a thin pin C4 type emblem. The bad news is it doesn't have the C4 engineering number which is marginally visible when mounted.

It has been awhile since I ordered the emblem, and now that I think about it I am pretty sure I did order the mounting kit with it. I did order it from cobranda, and it is a Scott Drake item. I will have to dig out the box and check further for the mounting parts. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Check out cobranda.com for the hardware. Might have to order emblem and all to get the hardware, I am not sure. The mounting hardware did come with the emblem that I ordered. Not sure what the original set up was. Mine came with metal strips that slide on the pins from the back, then use the push nuts. Hope this helps.
