Hello. It's self-evident that I'm new to the Shelby Forum. Thanks for the opportunity to join and learn about the classic Shelby. I've been restoring 1971-1972 Mach 1's for quite a few years. But a friend recently asked me to find and restore a Shelby GT 500, 1967, or 1968, or 1969. He wants to do it as a father-son project. Never done a Shelby before, so its all new to me. Sounds intimidating, quite frankly.
Let me know if you are aware of such a project. Thanks, and Happy New Year.

Projects start at around $50,000 and competition for cars is very high...good luck and keep us posted.

Not trying to discourage you, just give you a little reality to start the project. It's not like doing a Mustang, everyone wants your nickels.
