I have a 66 350 number 1127. There is no antennae hole in the original right fender. There is however a hole in the rt quarter where an antennae has been. What was standard for the 66's for a radio? The registry says dealer added if non hertz. Did the dealers just drill a hole anywhere or were they supposed to locate it on the fender or quarter?

My original 6s6xx had the antenna on the driver's side rear quarter

This subject has been discussed before so you can do a search and read through all the many posts on reasons for the different locations ,but the short answer is that they were supposed to be installed in the R front fender as the Template in the radio kit engeering drawing directs. Some dealers chose to install in the rear quarter. The rear quarter location is the exception and not the rule.
