Production of the 08 GT 500

so when they said they were only going to make 3000 2007 GT500's and did 10,000, that would mean we should expect about 13,879 08's

 

The question is probably better asked in November of 2008 to get a True answer. But does it really matter how many is built, its a Bad A$$ Car that is more "Bang for the Buck" then a Z06, enjoy it. Oh..... and you trust a Sales Man to answer that question correctly????????

I called the 1-800 Ford SVT number two months ago. They said "about 8,000 2008 GT500 are forecasted to be built."

 

I was told that they are only going to make 6000 08's. I have the production data for 07. the total was 10,847. 8151 coupes and 2695 convts. It also has the brake down of color and interiors. I figure less is worth more for the owners. But I don't care. It is a great toy.

 

Hi. I'm brand new to the forum. This is my first post. I just took delivery of my 2008 GT500 Coupe on Dec. 14, 2007. It's Huggar Orange with Black stripes. Only have about 200 miles to date on the car and I think it's great.
I drove Corvettes for 20 years. The last one being a 2006 Coupe, auto with paddle shifters. I always wanted to own a Shelby. It took a lot of years to get one, and I'm totally thrilled by the car.
I live in Arizona, and I'm looking forward to lots of senic driving. I'll visit the High Country, old Rte. 66, Colorado, and New Mexico. If there is anyone in AZ that wants to meet and socialize please contact me.

 

Congrats on your purchase. I'm a noob around here as well, just having purchased an '08 convert in black. BTW, Hugger Orange is a Camaro color. Your Shelby is Grabber Orange.

 

Do you have all the numbers for 2008 production yet?
