    Lots Of Talk And Information Latley About 66 Gt 350 Cars. Keep The Info Coming For People Like Me That Love To Learn. Question - Are 66 Gt 350 Cars With Stripes Painted At The Factory Rare ?

    Looking at the registry, there are more cars without factory stripes than there is is.

    This is what I was told re the stripes for 66 GT350's.
    -Shelby used a Chevrolet paint code for the white stripes.
    -Ford dealers used a Ford paint code for the white stripes.
    Therefore, the whites are slightly different. One is more creamy, the other is refrigerator white. I can't remember which used which.

    Not sure where that came from... have not seen an original car with white stripes that were not a bright white though I can see where a few were shot with a different white (where the dealers were too lazy to order the right color or used some left over paint to save/make some extra dollars)

    IF by rare you mean there were few, then yes. Not many buyers wanted to spend all those dollars buying a "fancy Mustang" and did not want people to notice ;)
